02/05/10 - Thermal Protection
Bought a DEI "titanium" turbo blanket, as well as 50 feet of
2" wrap. Not a lot to say about it. Just removed
the downpipe and midpipe and wrapped them up:
Then installed them:
I love the way the colors look together. It perfectly matches the skyline emblem on the sparkplug cover.
Also installed my 1 way check valve for my E-Vac scavenging setup (it
connects to a vibrant e-vac at one end and a catch can that ultimately
goes to a breather on the other):
Lastly, I installed some DEI heat protective sleeving on my coolant and oil drain lines that run close to the manifold:
And lastly... mike made a mask out of a leftover piece of heat wrap...
