04/03/08 – Notching the
tunnel
I had some issues
with the bodywork
that slowed me up a lot. That,
coupled
with a trip to
I was concerned that the passenger seat was not going to clear the transmission, requiring it’s removal. I knew that the tunnel needed to be notched, for the seat, but was wary about the seat clearance.
The first thing I did was pick up the transmission from Innovative Tuning. Thanks to Justin and Mike for helping me carry it to my truck!
Then I installed it1 in the car. Sorry about the cell pics.
Next I put the passenger seat back in. It FITS! WASSAA!
Lastly I started planning how I am going to notch it for the seat. I need to put a tray/bolting flange under the seat, welded to the body, then modify the tunnel so it clears the seat/bolts in.
